[Image: Logo of the Friends of St Nicholas]The Friends of St Nicholas Stevenage is a Charitable Trust registered with the Charity Commission. Its purpose is to finance the preservation and restoration of the ancient parish church of St Nicholas, the oldest building in Stevenage. The church evokes many fond memories for those who have had previous associations with it, either as members of the worshipping congregation or for a wedding ceremony, a baptism or as a place where loved ones lie at rest in the quiet, well-maintained churchyard. A picture of the church often appears in publications of local interest, underlining its importance to the heritage of the town.

The Trustees believe that townspeople, local institutions and businesses, former members of the congregation and many others would like to contribute to the long-term upkeep of the church and invite them to become Life Members  or Annual Subscribers. Members receive a regular newsletter which includes details of fund raising activities and much more. Open days with conducted tours of the church are also arranged during the year.

Further information is available from the Honorary Treasurer, Alan Hutcherson, who is also happy to receive donations, however small, from supporters and well-wishers.

The Friends of St Nicholas Stevenage is a Registered Charity No. 1006512.
